„Atalanta“ extended their unbeaten streak in the Italian championship to 6 matches and managed to defeat the „Spezia“ team at home. Gian Piero Gasperini's players won the high-scoring match 5:2 against the „Spezia“ team. After 11 minutes, the guests took the lead 1:0, but then the hosts scored three goals in the first half. In the second half, „Atalanta“ added two more goals. The scorers for the winners were Duvan Zapata, Ruslan Malinovsky, Luis Muriel, and Mario Pasalic each scored two goals. After this victory, „Atalanta“ temporarily surpassed the „Inter“ team in the standings."
