On Wednesday, the remaining three matches of the LFF Cup V stage were played, in which the biggest surprise was presented by "Atlantas" defeating "Sūduva".
Playing at their home field, the footballers of Klaipėda's "Atlantas" defeated last season's bronze medalist and LFF Cup semifinalist Marijampolė's "Sūduva" by a score of 1:0 (0:0).
Gediminas Kruša scored the only goal of the match in the second half (61 min.), allowing the underdogs of the "General Financing A League" to advance to the 2012/13 LFF Cup quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, the team of "Šiauliai" had a tough time at home against Gargždai's "Banga". The Šiauliai team won the match with a narrow 1:0 (1:0) lead. The path to the next stage was opened for the hosts by the precise strike of the country's most productive footballer Artūras Rimkevičius (28 min.).
