"Atletico Madrid" does not rest - on Friday, it was announced on the official club website that an agreement has been reached with "Granada" for the acquisition of left-back Guilherme Siquera.
The 28-year-old Brazilian footballer, after undergoing a medical examination, will sign a four-year contract. Last season, he was loaned to the Portuguese champions, Lisbon's "Benfica" club.
It is believed that "Atletico" is preparing for the departure of Filipe Luis, who has been linked with London's "Chelsea" team for some time.
After the agreement was reached, the sports director of the Spanish champions remained satisfied: "We have always looked for players who can strengthen our team. Siquera is a very good player and we are happy that he will come to Madrid."
"Granada" acquired G. Siquera in 2010. Previously, the left-back has worn the jersey of "Udinese," a team competing in the "Serie A" championship.
