On Wednesday, four more matches of the 34th round were played in the Spanish "La Liga" championship.

At the "Wanda Metropolitano" stadium, Madrid's "Atletico" hosted Valencia. In a result-driven battle, the "Rojiblancos" defeated the "Bats" and prevented Barcelona from becoming the country's champion today.

In the 9th minute, Alvaro Morata put the hosts ahead, but Kevin Gameiro equalized in the 36th minute. At the beginning of the second half, "Atletico" regained the advantage, but Valencia found the answer – Dani Parejo scored from the penalty spot in the 77th minute.

Fighting for crucial points, Valencia players quickly conceded a third goal – Angel Correa unleashed a powerful shot out of nowhere to secure a victory for the hosts.

After the victory, "Atletico" maintains a nine-point deficit against Barcelona, but they will have the chance to secure the title in the next round.

In other matches, "Celta" drew against "Espanyol", and Bilbao's "Athletic" beat "Leganes".
