"Barcelona" on Friday confirmed that the La Liga headquarters bought Antoine Griezmann's contract from Madrid's "Atletico" for 120 million euros.
There is a different opinion from the "Atletico" club, which stated in an official statement that "Barcelona" breached the agreement and now must pay the full buyout amount for the player, which amounts to 200 million euros.
Since July 1, the 120 million buyout clause in A. Griezmann's contract has been in effect, but "Atletico" claims that "Barca", who reached an agreement with the player earlier in the season, must now buy out his contract at the previously valid amount.
Because of this move, the Madrid club accuses "Barcelona" management and A. Griezamnn of unprofessionalism and emphasizes that they will take legal actions.
"Atletico" released a statement last week stating that they have evidence that the French national team striker reached an agreement with "Barcelona" at the beginning of March.
