"Atletico" finished their performance in the King's Cup, "Barca" - in the semifinals (VIDEO)

On Wednesday in Spain, two second leg matches of the King's Cup quarterfinals took place.

A sensation was recorded at the "Vicente Calderon" stadium. Madrid's "Atletico" football players were defeated at home by Vigo's "Celta" team and withdrew from the fight for the "Copa del Rey" Cup.

The first leg match ended in a 0-0 draw, so "Celta" advanced to the semi-finals with a 2-3 result. In the 22nd minute, the visitors took the lead, but shortly after Antoine Griezmann brought intrigue back into the match.

In the second half, the opponents were even more dangerous and in the 64th minute they were already leading 1-3. In the 81st minute, Angel Correa scored another goal for the "Rojiblancos" team, but he could no longer save them from elimination.

In other matches, there was also no shortage of intrigue. At the "Camp Nou" stadium, "Barcelona" and Bilbao "Athletic" clashed. A successful start for the visitors did not guarantee a ticket to the semi-finals, which the Catalans won with an overall score of 5-2.

In the 12th minute, Inaki Williams scored the first goal of the match, which could have ensured the Basques' advancement to the next stage. However, the hosts started the second half more determined and in the 53rd minute, Luis Suarez complicated the situation for "Athletic" after Lionel Messi's pass.

The Basques were unable to show anything more serious, and accurate shots from Gerard Pique and Neymar at the end of the match guaranteed a 3-1 victory for the hosts.
