Tottenham center-back Cristian Romero has caught the eye of a Spanish giant.

According to "relevo" journalist Matteo Moretto, Madrid's Atletico considers C. Romero as one of the main targets to strengthen their squad next summer.

The club from Spain's capital has already begun to establish a connection with the Argentinian's camp.

The defender himself is likely to want to leave Tottenham, which may remain without Champions League football. Their qualification for the Champions League depends on the outcome in the Europa League.

Atletico is also interested in another Tottenham representative from South America – Rodrigo Bentancur.
