Madridthe Madrid “Atletico“ failed to recover after unsuccessful midweek matches.
In “La Liga“ competition, the “mattresses“ had to admit the superiority of “Cadiz“ with a score of 2:3.
“Cadiz“ was leading 2:0 after goals in the 1st and 81st minutes. Theo Bongonda and Alex Fernandez scored.
Soon the “Atletico“ managed to get back into the game. The home team defender Luis Hernandez scored an own goal, while Joao Felix equalized the score.
In added time, victory slipped from Diego Simeone's pupils' hands. Ruben Sobrino's goal in the 9th minute of added time determined the victory for the “Cadiz“ team.
After this defeat, “Atletico“ remains in the top four, but depending on circumstances, they may lose this position after this round.
