"Atletico" president about A. Griezmann: "We are disappointed with his behavior"

"Atletico" president Enrique Cerezo from Madrid claims that the club does not fight unwarranted accusations and has concrete evidence that "Barcelona" reached an agreement with Antoine Griezmann during the season. On Friday, when "Barcelona" officially confirmed the purchase of the French player, it seemed like the drama that lasted the whole summer would end. However, this was not the final point - "Atletico" immediately released a statement claiming that "Barca" owes them 200 million euros. It is known that "Barcelona" paid 120 million euros for A. Griezmann - this was the buyout clause that came into effect on July 1st in his contract with "Atletico". Previously, a 200 million euro amount was stipulated in the player's contract, which "Atletico" is now demanding. Their main argument is that "Barcelona" officially reached an agreement with the player at the beginning of March when the buyout clause was still in force. "If we released such a statement, it means we have evidence for it," said E. Cerezo to RAC1. "We need to study everything well, and then we will ask for the sum that must be paid to us." When asked about Griezmann's behavior, that he had been in contact with "Barcelona" since the middle of the season, the "Atletico" president added: "We are disappointed in him. He wanted to leave, but he didn't tell us until the last minute."
