"Atletico" fans in Madrid who turned their backs on Turin's "Juventus" forward Cristiano Ronaldo received a response.
In the Champions League quarter-final match this week, the 34-year-old Portuguese player decided to make a gesture - five fingers signifying the number of times he triumphed in the tournament, while the Spaniards had none.
However, "Atletico" president Enrique Cerezo corrected the veteran: "I have a small correction - C.Ronaldo didn't win five champion titles, but only three. In the two matches against "Atletico", he didn't really win. Who won the other finals for the Madrid team? I will reveal in the next interview," said E.Cerezo.
The president also defended the team's coach Diego Simeone for making the "squirrel" gesture: "It happened due to great tension, so I understand and justify the strategist."
