In Spain, four matches of the 20th round of the "La Liga" championship were played on Saturday.
Madrid's "Atletico" hosted "Girona" at home and didn't finish the match very successfully. Diego Simeone's team dominated for a long part of the match, but the opponents from Catalonia managed to reach a draw.
In the 34th minute, Antoine Griezmann scored after a pass from Diego Costa and put the hosts ahead. In the second half, "Rojiblancos" had no major problems in defense, but in the 73rd minute they were finally punished.

"Atletico" ended a two-game winning streak and complicated their chances even slightly to compete with "Barca" for the title.
In other matches, "Sevilla" finally ended a series of three failures and returned to the path of victory. The Andalusians won away with a score of 3-0 against Barcelona's "Espanyol".
"Villarreal" also achieved victory at home, beating Valencia's "Levante" 2-1. Meanwhile, "Valencia" unexpectedly had to admit the advantage of the league's underdogs away, even though they had an advantage at the beginning of the match.
