"Atletico" returned to the path of victories, Bilbao team lost the leader position.

On Wednesday, three matches of the 6th round were played in the Spanish "La Liga" championship.

Diego Simeone's coached Madrid "Atletico" team returned to the path of victory. The attacking duo of "Rojiblancos" secured a win against "Mallorca" playing at home.

"Atletico" started the match with high pressure. "Mallorca" was forced to take the ball out of their goal in the 26th minute when Diego Costa scored after a set-piece. This was his first goal in the "La Liga" championship since March.

In the second half, the hosts tried to respond and only the goal post saved the "Atletico" team from conceding. The visitors did not let in a goal and struck a second blow in the 64th minute, after which the Mallorca team did not recover - Joao Felix scored his second goal in the championship.

From the 78th minute, "Atletico" had to play with ten men as Alvaro Morata, who got into a conflict, received two quick yellow cards. His appearance on the field lasted less than ten minutes.

In other matches, the leader position was not maintained by the Bilbao "Athletic" team, which played a 1-1 draw with "Leganes" away.

The Basques took the lead in the 59th minute with a goal by Raul Garcia, but just a few minutes later Oscar equalized with a great penalty shot.

After the draw, the leader position was taken over by the Madrid "Atletico" team, whose position at the top of the standings will depend on the performance of Madrid "Real".

In another match, "Valencia" and Madrid "Getafe" played out a high-scoring draw. "Valencia" led 3-1 after Maxi Gomez's double and Lee Kangin's accurate shot in the first half, but "Getafe" held a great four-minute period in the second half and equalized.

"Valencia" remains winless for the third consecutive match. Meanwhile, it was the fourth draw of the season for the "Getafe" team.
