"Atletico" secures victory against "Eibar" by equalizing a two-goal deficit

Three matches of the third round of the Spanish "La Liga" championship were played on Sunday.

An intriguing clash took place at the "Wanda Metropolitano" stadium, where Madrid's "Atletico" hosted "Eibar". The "rojiblancos" footballers managed to overturn a two-goal deficit and secured a 3:2 victory at the very end of the match.

"Eibar" started the match fantastically - in the 7th minute, Charles scored a header to put the visitors ahead, and in the 19th minute, Anaitzas Arbilla unexpectedly increased the lead to two goals after a ricochet.

Diego Simeone's players were shocked, as before these matches they had not conceded a single goal in the "La Liga" championship.

However, in the 27th minute, Joao Felix corrected the situation, redirecting the ball into the net from a few meters after a pass from Diego Costa, bringing "Atletico" back into contention for the three points.

In the second half, the "rojiblancos" pressed their opponents, and this bore fruit right at the beginning - in the 52nd minute, Vitolo, showing excellent form at the start of the season, equalized the score.

Throughout the remaining time, "Atletico" dominated the field, but they couldn't easily score the third goal.

As the end of the match approached, the pressure in front of "Eibar"'s goal increased, and in the 90th minute, one of the hosts' attacks resulted in a winning goal - Thomas Partey emerged from the opponents' defense and, being alone in front of the goalkeeper, scored a goal that gifted the "Atletico" team with very important three points.

With a dramatic victory, "Atletico" marches on without mistakes - three wins out of three possible.

In other matches, Dani Parejo's double from the penalty spot determined "Valencia"'s victory against "Mallorca". Meanwhile, "Granada" away crushed Barcelona's "Espanyol" team.
