Four matches of the 15th round were played on Sunday in the Spanish "Primera" league.
The country's vice-champions clashed with the "Villarreal" team away. Madrid's "Real" missed the opportunity to get closer to the leaders and suffered a minimal defeat.
The hosts started the match with a very aggressive game and attacked the goal guarded by Keylor Navas. The first goal was scored in the 8th minute, when Cedric Bakambu passed the ball to Roberto Soldado, who only had to send the ball into the goal.
After quickly conceding a goal, Rafael Benitez's players started pressing the opponents and continued to do so until the end of the match. The "Whites" took 20 shots, but only one made it into the goal area.
In the other matches, Madrid's "Atletico" defeated Bilbao's "Athletic" with a score of 2-1 and leveled points with "Barcelona". "Real", who suffered a loss, lag 5 points behind the leaders.
The other two matches ended with a victory for "Malaga" against Madrid's "Rayo Vallecano" and a draw between "Valencia" and "Eibar".
