Last summer, 23-year-old Gelson Martins, who joined Madrid's "Atletico", is leaving the Spanish capital at least until the end of the season. "Atletico" officially confirmed on their website that the Portuguese player has been loaned out to struggling "Monaco" club for six months. Joining "Atletico" as a free agent, G. Martins was supposed to become a rotation player, but in the 12 matches he played, he only managed to appear for 446 minutes. The forward managed to score one goal in the King's Cup, but there were no more notable moments. Before that, G. Martins played for the main Lisbon team "Sporting" for about four years.
L'AS Monaco is happy to announce the arrival of Gelson Martins from Atletico Madrid. The offensive midfielder is loaned until the end of the season.
