Diego Simeone was not disappointed with his team's performance in the UEFA Champions League, but was dissatisfied with the behavior of Madrid's "Real" defender Raphael Varane.
The "Rojiblancos" coach also admitted that he made a mistake by letting Diego Costa start, who had to leave the field after less than 10 minutes.
"I don't feel sad," D.Simeone told journalists. "Of course I'm upset that we didn't achieve our goal. Now we need calmness and to forget what happened today."
"The game ends as the referee wants and I can't say anything about it. Let's hope that this will give Varane some experience and he will learn this lesson.
"Madrid's "Real" club was better than us in the second half. We were all tired, but the opponents were a bit better," said the Argentine.
D.Simeone admitted his mistake in letting striker D.Costa start: "I made a mistake, but he was really in good condition before the match."
