"Atletico" will supplement talented goalkeepers from Argentina

The Madrid „Atletico“ club officially confirmed last night that the team will be joined by „River Plate“ midfielder Matias Kranevitter.

However, the 22-year-old footballer will only arrive in Madrid in winter, after playing in the Club World Cup with „River Plate“.

This summer, he led his team to the title of „Copa Libertadores“ champions, and he was one of the key players in his team, starting in both final series matches.

„I am very happy about this agreement. I am very thankful to „Atletico“ for giving me this opportunity“ - said the newest Diego Simeone team acquisition to the official club page.

M. Kranevitter has not yet debuted for the Argentine national team, but he should do so next month, as national team coach Gerardo Martino has invited the midfielder to the friendly matches against the Bolivian and Mexican national teams next month.
