On Sunday, the remaining five matches of the 25th round of the Spanish "La Liga" championship were played.
In the middle of the week, the most powerful team in Europe, Madrid's "Atletico" club, once again met a weaker opponent at home - "Villarreal". The "rojiblancos" team, who conceded an early goal, did not falter and won with a score of 3:1.
In the 16th minute, Jan Oblak was brilliantly beaten by Paco Alcacer. "Atletico" equalized just before halftime - Angel Correa scored the 40th minute goal.
In the second half, "Atletico" completely took control of the game. In the 64th minute, Koke put the hosts ahead for the first time in this match, and Joao Felix, who returned after an injury, secured the victory with a goal 10 minutes later.
"Atletico" rose to third place after the victory. They and "Sevilla" have 43 points each.
In previous matches, the same "Sevilla" surprisingly defeated Madrid's "Getafe" away and thus ended a three-game winning streak.
