Attack and injure "Bayern" fans in Greece

The least expected fans of the Munich "Bayern" team were attacked and injured at the stadium during the UEFA Youth League match in Piraeus. On Tuesday, at the Piraeus "Olympiacos" training stadium, the Youth League match took place between the "Olympiacos" and "Bayern" teams. This was the prelude to the main team's matches. The young footballers of "Bayern" were leading 4:0, when in the 84th minute, about 70-80 masked attackers armed with sticks, fireworks, and other prohibited items invaded the stadium and attacked the away team's fans sector. At least six "Bayern" fans and one security guard required medical assistance. The match was stopped but later resumed. The Greek police did not report on the arrested individuals. "The intruders have nothing to do with the 'Olympiacos' family," says the statement released by the "Olympiacos" club, condemning the attack.
