Australia is already waiting for the fifth consecutive World Cup. This country's national team has participated in the World Cup a total of 5 times. The sixth time awaits in Qatar. Australia secured their place in the World Cup after winning in a penalty shootout against the Peru national team. Australia's hero became goalkeeper Andrew Redmayne. The goalkeeper was brought on to the field in the 120th minute, replacing former Arsenal and Brighton player Matty Ryan. A. Redmayne jumped on the goal line during the penalty shootout and tried to distract the Peru players. Eventually, it worked, as Peru missed two penalties, while Australia missed only one. In the World Cup, Australians will compete in Group D alongside France, Denmark, and Tunisia. Interestingly, four years ago there was a very similar group, only with Peru instead of the Tunisia team. The tournament in Qatar will start in November.
