Croatian national team and Barcelona defender Ivan Rakitic admitted that it was not difficult to triumph in the UEFA Champions League final.
The 27-year-old footballer opened the scoring in Berlin. The Croatian himself scored the first goal in the 4th minute, which allowed the Catalans to gain an advantage and confidence in their abilities from the beginning of the match.
"This year we worked very hard," said the defender. "Today we were the better team, but we must also congratulate Juventus."
When asked if he expected Juventus to equalize the score, he responded: "It's normal, it was the final and Juventus also played. But during the entire 90 minutes we were the better team and we dominated. I think these were easy matches, we played smart and achieved a great result."
For Barcelona, this season's Champions League trophy was already the third. Earlier, they triumphed in the Spanish competitions - the King's Cup and the La Liga championship.
