28th Italian "Serie B" championship club was particularly successful for the "Lithuanian" clubs - in the fight for survival, the club provided a significant surprise thanks to two goals by Toms Danilevičius, beating one of the championship leaders, the team of "Cesena", and taking advantage of the stumbles of the latter, Mariaus Stankevičius, who won fiercely against "Verona" and approached the fourth place.

Playing excellently this season, in the 35th minute against "Cesena", T. Danilevičius led "Avellino" forward at home - with the opponents making a mistake, Alessandro Monticciolo made a pass into the penalty area, and although Raffaele Biancolino was shot, the ball hit the post, his Lithuanian attacking partner was the first to take advantage of the situation and score the first goal from close range.

Approaching the end of the match, T. Danilevičius secured the victory for the "Avellino" team with the second goal, when he received the ball on the right flank, turned around, and with a precise shot from a sharp angle, defeated the opponents' goalkeeper. "Cesena" was forced to admit their second defeat in the last 11 matches, while "Avellino" won at home for the third time in a row and rose to 19th place.

This season, T. Danilevičius has already scored 12 goals and is currently tied for fourth place in the list of the championship's top scorers with "Verona" Brazilian Adailton and Bergamo "Atalanta" attacking leader Nicola Ventola. Only Gionathan Spinesi from "Catania" (13 goals), Claudio Bellucci from "Bologna" (16), and Cristian Bucchi from "Modena" (21) have scored more goals than the Lithuanian, but unlike T. Danilevičius, they all, like other top-ten snipers, filled their goal tally with penalties.

Not as prolific as at the start of the season, still, they contribute no less successfully to their team's victories. This time, in a tumultuous battle, "Brescia" won 3-2 against the "Verona" club, and the Lithuanian goalkeeper made an assist for the equalizing goal of his team.

After this victory, "Brescia" jumped unexpectedly over the unfortunate "Torino" in the standings and with 46 points rose to fifth place, only one point behind the team above, "Cesena". The championship is led by "Mantova" with 52 points, followed by the team that has not yet played their round matches, "Catania", trailing by two points from the latter club.
