London's Arsenal club strategist Arsene Wenger named Pep Guardiola's Barcelona team as the best he had to play against.
Today, the paths of the Frenchman and P.Guardiola will cross at the "Emirates" stadium, where the "Gunners" will host the "Bayern" footballers in the UEFA Champions League round of 16.
"I was most impressed by Barcelona when Guardiola was at the helm. The pace of the team's game was unbelievable," praised Wenger his opponent.
"Until now, we haven't faced a better team. I hope the Bayern team won't leave such an impression on Wednesday," he added.
"This Barcelona era is not over yet. They won the Spanish championship, have players like Iniesta, Neymar, Messi, and Fabregas. They are top-class players," the specialist continued.
"I don't know if Bayern is a better team. They won four titles last year. In terms of football style, there is always room for improvement, but if they repeat last year's achievement, it can be said that the team has moved forward," said Wenger.
Last season, Bayern's players triumphed over Arsenal due to the better number of away goals scored.
