London's "Arsenal" coach Arsene Wenger believes that Lionel Messi is to blame for Luis Suarez's poor start at the "Barcelona" club, where the Uruguayan is being overshadowed.
The 27-year-old footballer demonstrated impressive athletic form last season at the "Liverpool" club, but this season in the Catalan team he has only scored one goal in seven games played.
"It's not easy when you have such a dominant figure like Lionel Messi in the team," Wenger responded when asked by journalists from "The Guardian."
"Naturally, the game goes through the strongest point, and that happens in Barcelona, where they play through Lionel. This means that other players are less important.
You can see that when you watch Barcelona games. Suarez was a super dominant figure at the Liverpool club, but now sometimes you think, 'Where is he?'", added the strategist.
It is worth mentioning that last season, the striker scored an impressive 31 goals in 37 games for the "Reds."
