B. Ivanovich extended contract with "Chelsea"

„Chelsea“ today confirmed that defender Branislav Ivanovic has extended his contract with the team for another year. The Serbian national team player, whose previous contract was set to expire this summer, has not shown his best form this season, and former coach Jose Mourinho has criticized him multiple times for his poor form. Nevertheless, the team has decided to extend the 31-year-old player's contract with the club until the summer of 2017. "I am very happy to be able to stay at 'Chelsea' for another year. After eight years at the club, it has become my home and there is no other club where I would rather play. I have achieved many victories with the team and I hope to help the team achieve even more in the coming months and next season," Ivanovic said on the team's website. Since joining the team from Moscow's 'Lokomotiv' in 2008, Ivanovic has won the Champions League, triumphed twice in the Premier League, won three FA Cup titles, and won the Europa League and League Cup competitions once each. In total, he has played 341 matches for the club and scored 32 goals.
