One of the key players of the successful French national team in the 2018 World Cup ended his professional career.
Blaise Matuidi officially announced on Friday that he hung up his football boots.
The 35-year-old veteran spent his last season playing for Miami Inter in the MLS.
Throughout his career, the attacking midfielder also represented Saint Etienne, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus.
Matuidi's biggest career achievement was winning the 2018 World Cup with France.
