"Manchester City" defender Benjamin Mendy made his return to the field yesterday after almost seven months of absence. He did so in a reserve team match against "Manchester United". The 23-year-old footballer suffered a serious knee injury in September and it was assumed that his season was over. However, his rehabilitation went very smoothly. This season, there are still six matches left for "the Citizens" to play in the Premier League, so the Frenchman, who cost £53 million, will definitely have opportunities to perform. Mendy expressed his joy at his return on the social media platform Twitter. "BREAKING: my loan to INJURY FC has officially ended today, and I’m back playing for @ManCity baby!! So happy thanks to all the staff & players that helped me through this loooong time, and of course everyone in here #SharkTeam we back!!" - Mendy wrote.
