Bastian Schweinsteiger believes that his former teammate in the "Manchester United" ranks, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, could move to MLS.
The German himself recently arrived in North American competitions and is currently enjoying his debut with the "Chicago Fire" team.
Meanwhile, the future of the Swedish sniper remains unclear as he recently suffered a serious injury, which will keep him out of the season and his contract with the "Red Devils" will expire in the summer.
"Definitely. Players like him are really important in a league like MLS," Schweinsteiger answered when asked by Sport1 if Ibra should move across the Atlantic.
"He is a very professional athlete and certainly brings a lot of quality to the field."
"He can be a bit eccentric at times, I think sometimes he does it on purpose, but as a footballer, he is truly one of the best I have played with."
"He has a really good eye and that really impressed me."
Ibra scored 28 goals and provided 10 assists in a total of 46 matches this season.
