German football legend Bastian Schweinsteiger has extended his professional career for at least another season. The 34-year-old defender has renewed his contract with the "Chicago Fire" team playing in the USA MLS league. Last season, the German earned 6.1 million US dollars at the club. Since 2017, B. Schweinsteiger has played 55 regular season matches in the MLS, scoring 7 goals and making 12 assists. In his first year as a world champion, the "Fire" team managed to qualify for the playoffs, but the club has performed much more modestly this season.
