The Saudi Arabian fund PIF publicly announced that they have terminated negotiations for the acquisition of the "Premier" club. According to the wealthy individuals, this was due to prolonged negotiations and an unclear future of the league. "Despite the fact that we highly value the Newcastle community and the club itself, we have decided not to pursue the acquisition of the team further. We do this with great sadness, as we wanted to invest in the great city of Newcastle and hoped to bring the team back to its historic positions," the statement reads. Earlier it was reported that Prince Mohammed bin Salman's fund was offering 300 million pounds for the English team.
