During Tuesday's first Champions League round of 16 match against Milan, London will have to do without one of their leaders Gareth Bale.
The Welsh defender missed Saturday's Premier League match against Sunderland due to an injury.
"Gareth won't have time to recover and be ready. The injury is not serious, but I don't think he will play on Tuesday," said coach Harry Redknapp.
However, Dutch midfielder Rafael van der Vaart, who also did not play against Sunderland, will be able to compete.
