Leverkusen's "Bayer" defender Michael Ballack has been fined 8,000 euros for taunting the "Koln" team through a megaphone.
In a fierce rivalry known as the "Rhine derby," last month "Bayer" celebrated a 2-0 victory. Right after the referee's whistle, Ballack, who provided an assist, decided to provoke the supporters by encouraging them to chant "Koln" - S***". The fans gladly joined in.
Ballack apologized for his actions.
