n this Saturday, Lithuanian football fans can look forward to intriguing matches - in the LFF Cup tournament, Vilnius' "Vėtra" and Panevėžys' "Ekranas" clubs, considered favorites, will meet, as they were paired up in the quarterfinals by a draw.

Good news for football enthusiasts is that the match between Lithuanian champions "Ekranas" and ambitious finalists from last season "Vėtra" will be broadcasted live by Baltijos televizija starting at 17:55 this Saturday.

The match will be commented on by sports journalist Tautvydas Vencevičius and the national coach of the Lithuanian football team, Algimantas Liubinskas. The latter, in an interview prior to the match on the "Vėtra" website, refrained from predicting the outcome of the upcoming duel.

"I've been following all the "Vėtra" matches held in Vilnius. The team leaves a good impression, the game is interesting and cohesive. The defense is especially strong, and I liked the foreign players in the offensive line. The only weaker link of "Vėtra" is the defense," said A. Liubinskas. "Unfortunately, I don't have the opportunity to objectively compare the playing styles of "Vėtra" and "Ekranas" because I haven't seen the Panevėžys matches this year. It's very difficult to predict who will advance to the semifinals. I think this quarterfinal pair is the most unpredictable. Both "Vėtra" and "Ekranas" are realistic contenders to win the cup."

In addition to this match, two other LFF Cup quarterfinal matches will take place in Vilnius, at the "Sportima" stadium - on Saturday at 12:00 "Žalgiris" will face "Vilnius", and at 18:00 "Vėtra" will meet "Ekranas". On Sunday at 12:00, the match between "Sūduva" and "Nevėžis" will kick off. Entrance to the matches is free.

Meanwhile, the fourth quarterfinal pair, between Klaipėda's "Atlantas" and Kaunas' team, will take place in the port city at the "Žvyro" stadium, next to the central stadium. The match will start at 13:00.
