"Banga" defeated Vilnius region's "TransINVEST club" for the third time.

In the 26th round of the "TOPsport A lyga”, Gargždų "Banga” continued their successful series of encounters against the football players of Vilnius region’s "TransINVEST”. The players from Gargždai won away with a score of 1:0 (0:0) and climbed up the league table.

In the first half, not many threatening episodes were created. Henrique Devenso's shot was blocked, and a little later, following a prolonged set piece, Antonio Lara's attempt was saved by Stefanas Čupičius.

After the break, both teams played calmly for a while, but in the middle of the half, "TransINVEST” took the initiative. Ernestas Stočkūnas made two dangerous passes, but Linas Pilibaitis and H. Devensas failed to hit the target from good positions.

The victory for "Banga” was secured in the 80th minute when Arminas Čivilis sent the ball into his own net after a cross from the right flank.

The Gargždai club rose to 4th place with 34 points, while the "TransINVEST” team remains in 9th place with 23 points.
