"Barca" aiming for an anti-record, defeating opponents from under their own feet

Eleven meters and a goalkeeper on the goal line. What could be simpler when you need a goal? All that remains is the easiest job - to kick the ball.

But not for the "Barcelona" team.

All rivals seem to be "shaking" and breaking records under the guidance of Luis Enrique, aiming to "improve" and achieve yet another milestone. However, one that is hardly worth boasting about.

In the 2015-2016 season, referees awarded a total of 18 penalty kicks from the 11-meter mark to the goal of the Catalan club officials, but only 9 of Barcelona's attempts were successful.

The renowned trio of "MSN" attackers is also not far behind each other: Neymar converted 4 penalties out of 8 attempts, Lionel Messi - 3 out of 6, Luis Suarez - 2 out of 4. So, each of these players can "boast" of only a dismal 50 percent conversion rate.

The saddest situation is in the Spanish national championships. Here, Barcelona's leaders managed to score only 6 times out of 13 attempts.

However, among the unsuccessful shots are also the so-called "Johan Cruyff penalty" taken by L. Messi and L. Suarez, where the Argentine just mimicked the shot from the mark, barely nudging the ball towards the goal, and the Uruguayan then sent it into the net.

However, the fact remains that none of the unconverted penalties had an impact on the final result of the match - "Barcelona" celebrated victories in all matches.
