On Wednesday, the first four matches of the "Copa del Rey" (King's Cup) round of 16 were played in Spain.
The champions of "Primera", Barcelona's footballers, met with Madrid's Getafe team at their home pitch. Gerardo Martino's pupils secured a crushing victory with a score of 4-0.
Scoring two goals each for the winning team were Cesc Fabregas and Lionel Messi, who returned to the field after an injury.
The return match will take place in the Spanish capital on January 16th, starting at 23:00.
In other matches, "Alcorcon", Seville's "Real Betis" and "Racing Santander" celebrated minimal victories.
