Despite the fact that captain Ludovic Giuly not only lost the UEFA Champions League final last week, but also suffered an injury that blocked his path to the European Championship in Portugal, he is now in a great mood. The reason for this is the interest expressed by the football giants of Spain in him.
"This is my dream club," Giuly told the French newspaper "Le Parisien." "I have long dreamed of playing for Barcelona, and if they were to sign me, it would be a dream contract for me."
According to the French press, Giuly and his agent met with representatives of Barcelona in Paris and discussed the contract terms.
Now the only thing preventing Giuly from joining the Catalan team is that Monaco and Barcelona have not yet agreed on the player's price.
Monaco wants to receive at least 10 million euros (35 million litas) for the player, while Barcelona is willing to pay slightly less.
