The leaders of the Spanish league are preparing a record offer for Dayot Upamecano, who belongs to "RB Leipzig". He is only 19 years old, but reportedly, Barcelona is willing to pay up to 100 million euros for this talent. No club has ever paid such amount for a defender. Upamecano shone in the Bundesliga this season and is seen at Barca as a long-term replacement for Gerard Pique, who is already 31. Furthermore, he could form a defensive duo with his compatriot Samuel Umtiti. The latter would help him integrate into the team faster.
