The club spoke about the possible acquisition of Turin star David Trezeguet.
After several very unsuccessful seasons, now Barcelona is celebrating victory in the Spanish championship for the 8th consecutive match, rising to the 3rd position and preparing for Trezeguet's arrival.
The French national team striker is also linked to a London club, which is preparing to acquire the player after the expiration of his contract valid until June 2005, but so far neither party has provided any specific information about it.
Trezeguet's father and agent Jorge Trezeguet stated that his son wants to clarify his future plans before the European Championship.
"We do not want to cause trouble with the Juventus management. We just want the Turin club to consider extending the contract and everything to be cleared up as soon as possible," said Jorge Trezeguet.
"Over the past few years, Juventus has won Serie A twice and reached the final of the UEFA Champions League twice. And throughout this time, David has been their main striker."
If Trezeguet were to move to Barcelona, it would not be the first deal between these teams this season, as during the winter Juventus loaned one of the brightest stars of the club, Edgar Davids, to the Catalan club.
It was also reported in the press that representatives of both clubs met in London to discuss a future deal, in which the names of Javier Saviola, Patrick Kluivert, Thiago Motta, and Gabri were also mentioned. One of these players, it is believed, should go to Juventus as part of the deal.
