"Barcelona" club officials are actively preparing to participate in the summer player market and are already considering an unexpected option - to invite talented "Malaga" team defender Isco to the team.
This was reported by the newspaper "AS" over the weekend.
Unofficially, Malaga's team is very interested in 23-year-old Sporting defender Alberto Botia, but one circumstance hinders the ambitious plans of the "anchovies" - the player's rights still belong to "Barca."
The Catalan club sold A. Botia to the Asturias team in 2010, but retained the right to buy back the defender for 2.8 million euros over three seasons. According to sources of the mentioned newspaper, Malaga's leaders are interested in the possibility of acquiring the footballer, but they will likely have to negotiate not with Sporting, but with Barcelona.
The Spanish vice-champions can always buy back the player and offer him in exchange for the first refusal rights when negotiating a contract with Malaga's defender Isco. It is said that Barcelona is interested in the possibility of acquiring one of the most talented young Spaniards, so they are considering the possibility of inviting him to the team.
Barcelona's proposed plan, as stated in the publication, is simple: the Catalans agree to transfer A. Botia to Malaga's club, and in return they receive the first refusal rights to Isco. So, if any club would approach Malaga's team with an offer to buy the defender, the "anchovies" leaders must inform Barca about it and allow them to buy the player for the same amount that any other potential buyer would offer.
Isco's current contract with the Malaga team is valid until the summer of 2016, and it includes a buy-back clause of 20 million euros. That's the amount a buyer would have to pay if they do not want to negotiate directly with the Andalusian team and have the player's consent.
