"Barcelona" club will have to pay another fine

Before the start of the new season, the strongest club in the Old Continent will have to dig deeper into their pockets.

"Barcelona" has already received a 30,000 euro UEFA fine for displaying Catalonia flags in the Champions League final, and will now have to pay a 66,000 euro fine imposed by their country's Commission for the Fight against Violence.

Such financial sanctions were received by the team due to certain security shortcomings and the behavior of their fans at the King's Cup final played on May 30, where "Barcelona" beat Bilbao "Athletic" 3:1. The fans of the Catalonia and Basque region clubs, known for their hostility towards the central government of Spain, loudly booed the national anthem before the match.

After considering this incident, the Commission for the Fight against Violence decided to fine "Barcelona" 66,000 euros: 60,000 for inadequate security measures at the stadium entrances and inside the arena, and 6,000 for the fans booing during the anthem.

Bilbao "Athletic" also faced monetary sanctions for the behavior of their fans. The Basque team will have to pay an 18,000 euro fine.

The biggest fine, even 123,000 euros, was imposed on the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), which failed to properly organize the event and ensure the correct behavior of those attending.
