"Barcelona" competitor in the King's Cup - "Villanovense"

On Friday, the draw for the King's Cup tournament divided 32 Spanish football clubs into sixteen pairs.

In the round of sixteen of the tournament, the current cup holder "Barcelona" will play twice against "CF Villanovense," a team competing in the third league of Spain from the Extremadura region.

The first match will take place on October 28 at the "Romero Cuerda" stadium in Villanueva de Serena, and the second leg will be played on December 2 at Barcelona's "Camp Nou" arena.

Both matches will take place before the other clubs' games, as in December the Catalan team will travel to Japan as the winner of the Champions League for the World Club Championship.

This will be the first encounter between the two clubs - "Barcelona" and "Villanovense" teams have never played any official matches against each other.

Unlike the past few seasons, this time the draw included only the first stage of the King's Cup, not the entire tournament until the final.

The final of the King's Cup will take place on May 21. The arena where the decisive tournament match will be played will be officially announced later.

All the pairings of the 1/16 stage of the tournament draw are as follows:

Cadiz CF - Real Madrid CF CF Villanovense - FC Barcelona Barakaldo CF - Valencia CF CF Reus Deportiu - Atletico de Madrid UD Logrones - FC Sevilla Real Balompedica Linense - Athletic Club SD Huesca - Villarreal CF UD Almeria - Celta de Vigo CD Leganes - Granada CF UE Llagostera - Deportivo La Coruna CD Mirandes - Malaga CF SD Ponferradina - SD Eibar Real Betis Balompie - Real Sporting de Gijon Levante UD - RCD Espanyol UD Las Palmas - Real Sociedad Rayo Vallecano CF - Getafe CF
