According to journalist Oriol Domenech, "Barca" managed to reach an agreement last night with Amsterdam's "Ajax" regarding the final transfer fee for the player. The Catalans will pay 20 million euros for the promising defender, which could increase by another 5 million euros depending on both clubs' achievements. S. Dest was also pursued by Munich's "Bayern" club. However, if "Ajax" does not receive a more attractive offer, the American will join "Barca." The defender was born and raised in the Netherlands, but his roots are from the USA. S. Dest made his debut in the main "Ajax" team in 2019 and has played 36 matches since then. He will replace Nelson Semedo, who has moved to "Wolves," in the Catalan team.
