Vice President Josep Maria Bartomeu denies rumors that the club negotiated with London regarding striker Robin van Persie.
The impressive sporting form of the Dutchman's contract with the English team will expire next summer, and negotiations for its extension are not currently taking place.
"These rumors are untrue," Bartomeu said. "They are just rumors that appeared in the press. We have not spoken with either Arsenal or the player's agent."
He added: "Our entire focus now is on the Spanish championship and the King's Cup tournament. We cannot be distracted by looking at the market."
This season, in 24 matches in the Premier League, Van Persie scored 22 goals and made 7 assists."
