"Barcelona" will continue to wear "Nike" made socks. This was revealed after the Catalan club officially announced a new agreement reached with the giant in the US sports apparel and footwear manufacturing industry. The current agreement between "Barcelona" and "Nike" was valid until June 30, 2018, but both parties did not hide their desire to continue and extend their successful collaboration. All athletes of the Catalan club's sports sections have been wearing "Nike" apparel since 1998, and during that time the main "Barça" football team stood out the most - it became the Champion of the Champions League 4 times, won the Spanish national championship 10 times, raised the King's Cup 4 times, and triumphed in the FIFA Club World Cup 3 times. The details of the new agreement are currently kept secret, and the leaders of "Barcelona" have already stated that more information about the agreement with "Nike" will be announced at the most important meeting of the Catalan club members - the General Assembly. According to unofficial data, "Barcelona" could earn around 155 million euros from "Nike" in one season, and the agreement could last until the summer of 2026. Interesting fact: at the end of 2006, the value of the five-year agreement between the Catalan club and "Nike" was 150 million euros. This means that "Barça" at that time was supplementing its budget by 30 million euros per year.
