"Goal.com" reports that the first Neymar sale money in Barcelona could be invested in a new defender.
It is claimed that the Catalan team is nearing an agreement for 26-year-old San Sebastian Real Sociedad center-back Inigo Martinez.
Real Sociedad's sporting director confirmed today reports that Barcelona had contacted the club, but the Real representative stated that no specific offer had been made, and the club itself has no intention of selling their defender.
However, "goal.com" found out that Barcelona and Martinez have already reached a mutual agreement, so Real Sociedad may not be able to prevent these negotiations from taking place.
In addition, Barcelona is ready to pay the full buyout clause amount specified in the Spaniard's contract - 32 million euros.
Martinez has been playing for the main Real Sociedad team since 2011 and has already managed to play in more than 200 matches.
