"Barcelona" confirmed on their official website that the underperforming midfielder Ibrahim Afellay is being loaned to Piraeus' "Olympiacos" for the season. Last season, the 28-year-old Dutchman only took the field twice as he was recovering from a serious injury. Afellay joined "Barcelona" in 2011, but failed to establish himself in the first team. In the 2012-2013 season, he played for "Schalke" in Gelsenkirchen. In total, the midfielder played 35 official matches for the Catalan team and only scored two goals.
