"Barcelona," experiencing a crisis, seriously targeted 28-year-old "Valencia" forward Rodrigo.
"Barcelona," possibly losing Luis Suarez for the entire season, intensified their search for a forward in recent days, and the main candidate to strengthen the team became a member of the Spanish national team.
Rodrigo has been linked with a departure for more than half a year, so his role in the "Bats" team has diminished this season.
"Sport" reports that representatives of the "Barcelona" club have already spoken to Rodrigo's agent and discussed possible details of the deal.
The primary goal of "Barcelona" is to loan the player until the end of the season. "Valencia" is open to negotiations but wants to ensure that the player will be sold for an appropriate value in the summer – 55 million euros.
Rodrigo missed today's "Valencia" training session, but, as reported by "COPE" radio, it was due to health problems – he and two other players went to Barcelona to meet with the doctor Ramon Cugat.
The Spanish player of Brazilian origin has been playing for "Valencia" since 2014. This season, Rodrigo has scored four goals in 22 matches.
