In the Spanish "La Liga" championship, four matches of the 14th round were played on Sunday.
In the last round, Madrid's "Atletico" team, who had previously defeated "Barca" from their hands, again remained without a victory. Playing well, "Girona" had to settle for a draw due to an own goal - 1:1.
In the 45th minute, a penalty kick was awarded to "Atletico", which was scored by the league's top scorer Christian Stuani.
In the second half, "Atletico" sought ways to equalize, but had to wait for the equalizing goal. In the 82nd minute, after a superb pass from Angelo Correa, Diego Costa stopped the ball right at the penalty area and, in an attempt to clear it, "Girona" defender Jonas Ramalho scored an own goal.

In the Catalan capital, "Barcelona" faced "Villarreal". The country champions won 2:0 against the visitors and temporarily returned to the top position.
In the 36th minute, Gerard Pique scored for "Barcelona". In the 87th minute, Carles Alena secured the victory.
"Barcelona" returned to first place in the standings after "Sevilla" failed to beat "Alaves" away. The team from Vitoria led for a long time in the match, but in the 78th minute, Wissam Ben Yedder scored a point for the Andalusian team.
In other matches, Seville's "Real Betis" narrowly defeated San Sebastiano's "Real Sociedad".
