"Barcelona" team defender Rafinha suffered an injury in Saturday's match against Madrid's "Atletico", which is expected to make him miss the remainder of the season.
The Brazilian national team player appeared on the field when he replaced the injured Sergi Roberto, although he finished the match, it was obvious that the defender was feeling discomfort.
The staff of the "Barcelona" team confirmed that Rafinha's knee injury is serious and the player will need to undergo surgery.
The player had a similar injury in 2015 as well as in the spring of 2017, when he had troubles with the meniscus.
This injury could push the Catalan team to seek reinforcements in the winter.
